Dragana Damjanovic studied law at the University of Vienna, opens an external URL in a new window and received her PhD there in 2001. Her dissertation dealt with the "Regulation of Communication Markets under Conditions of Convergence". Thereafter she completed her postgraduate studies (LL.M.) at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, opens an external URL in a new window and became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Austrian and European Public Law, opens an external URL in a new window (IOER), Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). In 2015 she was habilitated for Public and European law after submitting her thesis on the "Legal Structure of the EU Social Market Economy".

From March 2018 to February 2020 she was Deputy Head of the Institute of Law at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, opens an external URL in a new window (BOKU). 

Since March 2020 Dragana Damjanovic has been Professor of Public Law and Head of the Research Unit of Law at the TU Wien.
