The ACE Field Trip 2023 with the focus on real estate led to Tel Aviv from May 17 to 20, 2023. The city welcomed the students and alumni with fantastic weather, which meant that nothing stood in the way of a successful study trip.

The trip kicked off with a reception hosted by Austrian business delegate Markus Haas at the Foreign Trade Center. In a short lecture he gave the group a well-founded overview of the Israeli economy. At the subsequent Welcome Dinner in the historic district of Jaffa, the alumni and students were able to exchange ideas and round off the evening with delicious Israeli specialties.

The second day was dedicated to the Israeli real estate industry and was organized by our alumnus Helmut Makagon. First, Daniela Paz Erez, CEO of Israel's leading real estate consulting firm Paz Group, opens an external URL in a new window, gave a comprehensive overview of the Israeli real estate industry. Then Ron Cohen (founder RCVA Services, opens an external URL in a new window & IVS Forum, opens an external URL in a new window) explained the principles of real estate valuation in Israel.

Afterwards, Kobi Balakirski (Vice CEO and CFO GINDI Towers) and Boaz Harel (VP Sales GINDI Towers) provided insight into the planning, realization and marketing of an outstanding real estate project, using the Gindi Towers TLV, opens an external URL in a new window project as an example. This top-class real estate project combines innovative architecture with the highest building standards. It consists of four 48-story residential skyscrapers, eleven 14-story residential buildings with shopping center, schools, kindergartens, fitness centers and much more.

At the end of the "Real Estate Day," the group visited the law firm of Doron, Tikotzky, Kantor, Gutman, Nass, Amit, Gross & Co,, opens an external URL in a new window one of the largest and leading law firms in Israel. Yaron Tikotzky (Founding Partner & Head of Real Estate Department) gave an interesting presentation on urban renewal and local legislation.

Finally, on the third day, the program included guided tours with a lot of background information about the history and development of the city. The group explored the roots of the Mediterranean metropolis in the Old City of Jaffa and enjoyed the sensational view of the Tel Aviv skyline. The Bauhaus tour took in the White City's most notable "spots," built in the 1930s and 1940s. The functional Bauhaus architecture created not only impressive objects, but also a harmonious cityscape that is unique in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The end of the intensive and impressive study trip was celebrated with a sensational  Farewell Dinner at Tel Aviv Beach with sunset. Some of them were already thinking about the next ACE Field Trip.
