Mechanical Process Engineering and Clean Air Technology

Our main research interests are dust separation technology, recycling and waste management, fiber innovation, as well as renewable resources. Additionally, we apply life cycle assessment during process development in an effort to evaluate the environmental impact of emerging technologies. A wide range of advanced measurement systems and test rigs allow for investigation and specific improvement of single unit operations up to whole processes.

In addition, the research unit hosts the CD-Laboratory for a recycling-based Circular Economy. This research initiative aims to give a scientific-technical support for Austria and the EU to achieve recycling targets for wastes.
