INTRODUCTION TO THE USE OF ELECTROCHEMICAL / ELECTROLYTIC TECHNIQUES IN METAL CONSERVATION
Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Christian Degrigny
The Training School will provide an introduction to the use of electrochemical techniques applied to the conservation-restoration of metals, from the basic principles to the most innovative approaches. Through a combination of lectures and practical work, participants will train electrochemical techniques on metals and their corrosion products, in order to define the best conditions for cleaning and stabilizing metal artefacts.
- Date: 25.09.2023 - 29.09.2023
- Venue: Bundesdenkmalamt, Arsenal, Objekt 15, Tor 4, 1030 Vienna, Austria
- Fee: € 300.00 (payable on the first day on site; lunches and coffee breaks are included)
Send your registration and a short note whether you have already had experience with electrochemical methods in metal conservation.
The course and the lectures will be adapted to the knowledge of the participants!
