INTRODUCTION TO THE USE OF ELECTROCHEMICAL / ELECTROLYTIC TECHNIQUES IN METAL CONSERVATION

Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Christian Degrigny

The Training School will provide an introduction to the use of electrochemical techniques applied to the conservation-restoration of metals, from the basic principles to the most innovative approaches. Through a combination of lectures and practical work, participants will train electrochemical techniques on metals and their corrosion products, in order to define the best conditions for cleaning and stabilizing metal artefacts.
