Training School 2023

INTRODUCTION TO THE USE OF ELECTROCHEMICAL / ELECTROLYTIC TECHNIQUES IN METAL CONSERVATION

Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Christian Degrigny

The Training School will provide an introduction to the use of electrochemical techniques applied to the conservation-restoration of metals, from the basic principles to the most innovative approaches. Through a combination of lectures and practical work, participants will train electrochemical techniques on metals and their corrosion products, in order to define the best conditions for cleaning and stabilizing metal artefacts.

Details:

  • Date: 25.09.2023 - 29.09.2023
  • Venue: Bundesdenkmalamt, Arsenal, Objekt 15, Tor 4, 1030 Vienna, Austria
  • Fee: € 300.00 (payable on the first day on site; lunches and coffee breaks are included)
