Short CV

Since April 2023, Lukas Wurth has been working as a student assistant in the Research Unit of Mechanical Engineering Informatics and Virtual Product Development (MIVP), belonging to the Institute of Engineering Design and Product Development, at the TU Wien. In connection with this work, he is currently writing his master's thesis on "Anti-Slip Traction Control for Co-Simulation in a Digital Twin Platform".

In 2021, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering at the TU Wien. During his studies, he also worked as a tutor at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer. As part of his bachelor's thesis "Development and Implementation of an Automation System for an Organosolv Extraction Apparatus" at the Sustainable Technologies and Process Simulation research group, he dealt with control engineering and measurement technology in connection with a process engineering test plant. In addition to his bachelor's degree, he also completed the Digital Competencies extension course at the TU Wien, where he acquired advanced knowledge in computer science.

In addition to his studies, he also worked for several years at Würth Leasing GmbH as IT support for the development of VBA scripts.

Following his passion for languages, he is also currently completing his Bachelor's degree in Linguistics at the University of Vienna, which he pursued in parallel to his studies at the TU Wien.

Research Interests

The research focus of Mr. Wurth is the development and interaction of simulation models within the FFG project Rail4Future for the digitalization of railway infrastructure systems in the railway industry.
