Do you know that more than 40% of all chemistry students at TU Wien are female? Which means that nearly half of the seats in a lecture hall or work space in a laboratory are occupied by a woman. But by 2016, there was actually no full female professor at the Faculty of Technical Chemistry! That was the time to take action and FemChem – a network of female scientist – was born. FemChem is a bottom-up initiative that enables networking for women within the faculty. We function as a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and information and coordinate offers for continuing education and for academic discussion.

Sounds interesting? Being an active member is a great opportunity to make a change, enrich your personal and professional development and enjoy our great team spirit.
