On October 5, 2023, the tenth Building Physics Day took place at the TU Wien. This transdisciplinary conference was attended by 130 experts who discussed current developments and issues in building physics. One of the main topics of the event was climate change and sustainable approaches to transforming energy supply in construction.

The day was opened with an appeal by young people who, as representatives of the "Last Generation" movement, are committed to a future worth living. They talked about what they learned in their studies at the universities and why they joined the protest. It was impressive to see the determination with which they work non-violently for the goal of a socially just change towards a sustainable way of life.
