Statement on the draft of the NEKP 2021-2030

49 scientists from the field of climate and transformation research have written a comprehensive statement on the current draft of the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan for Austria for the period 2021-2030 (NEKP). On just over 40 pages, in addition to various cross-cutting issues (e.g. digitization, building and spatial planning, international fairness), the plans contained in the draft NEKP on energy, buildings, transport, agriculture & forestry and land use change, waste and circular economy, as well as research, innovation, education and competitiveness are addressed and concrete measures are also proposed. Prof. Rechberger co-authored and coordinated the statement on waste and circular economy.
