An overview of the courses offered at the Research Unit Sociology in Spatial Planning

The winter semester 2022 starts for all new Bachelor's students with the compulsory introductory phase, which includes the orientation phase, opens an external URL in a new window. In addition, the compulsory course Planning Theory and Planning Ethics, opens an external URL in a new window and Spatial Development Planning (Project 2), opens an external URL in a new window are offered. This semester, Project 2 deals with the small region Thaya-Taffa-Wild in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria).

In the Master's programme, there are a number of compulsory courses from sociology: in the first semester, Methodology and Process Design, opens an external URL in a new window, Research and Planning Design, opens an external URL in a new window and Sociological Theories of City, Space and Planning, opens an external URL in a new window are offered. In the third Master's semester, the project Cultural Collisions, opens an external URL in a new window, the lecture exercise Qualitative Methods in Spatial Research and Planning, opens an external URL in a new window and the seminar Strategies for Sustainable and Resilient Spatial Development, opens an external URL in a new window take place.
