From foundation to specialization

From management essentials to leadership fine-tuning: with our core modules at the TU WIen ACE, participants learn relevant basic economic knowledge (e.g. finance & accounting, marketing & project management) and can expand or develop their own leadership style as part of our leadership retreat. In addition to these basic modules the individual specialization of the program completes the unique curriculum.

The spezialisation for the Executive MBA program Strategic People Management and New Work has to be completed at the LIMAK Austian Business School in Linz and includes 11 days of on-site courses on specific key topics, from the areas of strategic employee management, organizational culture and its understanding, employee experience Journeys and much more.

BUSINESS PROCESSES

  • Get to know concepts and methods of quality as well as process management
  • Perform cost-benefit evaluation of digitalized processes
  • Understand implementation requirements and processes of agile methods
  • Understand areas of application and critical factors of various agile methods and models

You will become familiar with important concepts and methods of quality and process management, apply them in the operational environment, and perform a cost-benefit assessment of new, digitized processes. In your Master's thesis, you work on a problem in a subject area of ​​your choice, using scientific methods. Usually it is a question with a practical relevance to one's own working environment.

"Project Management" zielt auf die Vermittlung der Grundlagen des Projektmanagements ab. Anhand von Projektsimulationen bzw. konkreten Projekten werden die Eckpunkte der inhaltlichen, methodischen, sozialen und zeitlichen Arbeit in Projekten analysiert und Analyse-, Konzepterstellungs- und Umsetzungsphasen mit den jeweils erforderlichen Rahmenbedingungen (z.B. Projektmarketing, Projektcontrolling) erläutert. Nach Abschluss des Electives können Sie ein vollständig geplantes Projekt für die Zertifizierung gem. IPMA (Level B oder C) vorweisen.

  • Sie kennen den grundlegenden Ansatz, was laut IPMA unter Projektmanagement zu verstehen ist und welche Vorteile Projektmanagement als fixer Geschäftsprozess bietet
  • Sie kennen das Prozessmodell und die Inhalte des Projektmanagements (Projektstart, -koordination, -controlling, -marketing, -abschluss und die Bewältigung von Projektkrisen).
  • Sie wissen, welche Projektmanagement-Methoden in den einzelnen Prozessendes Projektmanagements zur Anwendung kommen und können diese in der Praxis anwenden.
  • Sie sind in der Lage, mögliche „Stolpersteine“ im Vorhinein zu identifizieren und reduzieren dadurch das Risiko eines Misserfolgs.
  • Sie können unterscheiden, welche Projekt-Komplexität welche Methoden voraussetzt.
  • Sie wissen, wie ein Projektteam zusammengestellt und situativ angepasst geführt wird und sind in der Lage, Ihre Rolle als Teammitglied in einem Projekt optimal zu erfüllen.
  • Sie sind in der Lage, Projekte eigenständig und eigenverantwortlich planen, steuern, koordinieren und erfolgreich abschließen zu können (Level B oder C).
  • Sie können eine Projektmanagementsoftware (MS Project) in Bezug auf verschiedene Bereiche des Projektmanagements anwenden
