This year, the event was held in style at the elegant Park Hyatt Hotel am Hof. The large lecture hall hosted many exciting presentations and panel discussions, as well as a sponsor area with information stands from several renowned exhibitors from the real estate industry and related fields. The TU Wien Academy was also represented with a booth, showcasing its real estate programs such as the MSc (CE) Real Estate Investment & Valuation and the BSc (CE) Real Estate Management. For 36 years now, the TU Wien Academy's continuing education programs have made an important contribution to the real estate industry. Numerous experts and leading figures in the real estate industry have completed the real estate courses at TU Wien
The theme of this year's event was “Beyond Crisis: The Renaissance of the Real Estate Industry,” as this topic is, of course, impossible to ignore this year. The topics of the presentations included megatrends in the real estate industry (Oona Horx, trend researcher), as well as a presentation by renowned political consultant Thomas Hofer on Austrian politics and its implications for the real estate sector; the range of topics was quite broad, offering something for everyone.
However, the core of the Bundestag has always been the opportunity for personal exchange and networking with familiar and new faces in the real estate industry, and this year was no exception: especially at the grand gala dinner, which took place this year in the festive halls of the Palais Ferstel. The “Palais,” which was actually planned and designed primarily as a stock exchange building, thus also became a venue for business discussions of all kinds. Dipl.-FM Roman Oberndorfer MSc, Chairman of the WKO, seemed satisfied with the event, and he had every reason to be. We at the TU Academy for Continuing Education took away a lot of new information, interesting discussions, and new contacts from the event and are already looking forward to the coming years, when the Bundestag will return to the Austrian federal states.
