Quality Assurance

The MSc Program “Environmental Technology and International Affairs” fully meets Austrian national standards and statutory regulations, such as the Universities Act of 2002 and the Statutes of the TU Wien. In addition, the curriculum is checked by the Senate of the TU Wien and enacted by Senate Decree.

The Quality System of Science and Technology Universities for Sustainable Industry (QUESTE-SI) was founded within the Lifelong Learning Program ERASMUS of the European Union.

The primary objective of the QUESTE-SI project was to increase the quality of education in the field of sustainable development at scientific and technical universities. Sustainability was defined as the integration of dimensions (economic, social, ecological) beyond the purely technical aspect into engineering education.

The MSc Environmental Technology & International Affairs makes an important contribution to education in the field of sustainable development and had therefore been awarded the QUESTE-SI label. The TU Wien was thus one of the first European universities to be awarded this quality mark.
