"City and Country in Flux" - The Austrian Climate Day 2024

The 24th Austrian Climate Day will take place at TU Wien from April 2 to April 4, 2024. The Climate Change Centre Austria (CCCA) is hosting the event together with TU Wien under the motto "City and Country in Flux". The event is the most important networking event for the Austrian climate research community.

The location of the conference, Vienna, will be the reason for focussing on urban space and discussing the challenges and opportunities associated with climate change. Urban and rural areas are subject to a permanent flux of change; transformation processes must be actively shaped with the aim of achieving climate neutrality by 2040 and the changing climatic conditions. The TU Vienna provides a wide range of research expertise for both urban and rural development and thus offers the ideal setting for a conference characterised by multi-layered change.

This year, the Faculty of Architecture and Planning's motto is "Transforming the existing".

The Research Unit of Regional Planning and Regional Development is contributing an interactive climate tree on which one's own positions related to the climate crisis can be hung up and collected. Some of the positions have been developed by students, but you can also add your own.
