Excursion DC Tower, Vienna

In the course of the rock and tunnel construction lecture, an excursion to the DC Tower in Vienna took place on 21.10.2010. In the construction of the excavation pit of what will be Austria's tallest building in the future, dewatering is a particular challenge. During the site inspection, numerous special foundation engineering methods, including the production of diaphragm walls and screw in-situ concrete piles as well as groundwater management, could be observed.
