To make the datasets discoverable across platforms and available for use, dissemination and reuse without any restrictions, the FAIR principles are applied:

  • Metadata are exchanged with the portal Open Data Austria (data.gv.at) to ensure machine actionability.
  • Data is published under the open use license Creative Commons CC BY.

The offer will be expanded step by step in the coming months and will also be supplemented with data from forecast models in the second half of 2022.

Open Data and Public Sector Information

The European Open Data and PSI Directive, opens an external URL in a new window provides the legal basis for the re-use of public sector data and sets a minimum set of rules. Focus is on non-personal data sets that are made freely available in the public interest. Open data is the basis for open science, innovation and a participatory society. It makes an important contribution to addressing societal challenges and implementing the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
