The "Otto Pregl Prize for Basic Geotechnical Research" is awarded by the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna for outstanding diploma or MSc. theses at an Austrian university in the field of geotechnical engineering. On Wednesday, 15 June 2016, Dipl.-Ing. Mario Hager (represented by Dr. Johannes Pistrol due to illness) was awarded this year's Otto Pregl Prize for his diploma thesis entitled "Measured values of the area-wide dynamic compaction control (FDVK) in theoretical and experimental comparison", in the course of the "Geotechnical Festival" at the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna. The prize is endowed with € 1,000.00.
