Mate Gerencser wins an ERC Starting Grant

Our institute is thrilled to announce that another of our professors has now been awarded an ERC Grant. Máté Gerencsér develops novel theoretical and computational tools to understand stochastic partial differential equations. These equations describe the evolution of complex random systems and arise in mathematical physics in a variety of contexts, ranging from quantum field theory through random interface growth to population genetics.
