In addition to concrete practical tips - including a glossary, FAQs and links to tools and tutorials - the website contains general and discipline-specific as well as up-to-date and regional information on research data management (RDM). The platform language is German, but the most important information is also available in English, opens an external URL in a new window.

The website is primarily aimed at researchers in the DACH region, but RDM consultants will also find what they are looking for. Most of the content of forschungsdaten.info is published under the CC0 license, opens an external URL in a new window and may therefore be freely reused and redistributed. Exceptions are single articles and illustrations, which are marked with a CC BY license, opens an external URL in a new window and therefore require the author's name to be mentioned in case of reuse.

The editorial maintenance and further development of the platform is carried out collaboratively by a cross-institutional team of RDM specialists.
