As of February 1, 2022, the validity of vaccination certificates in the Green Pass for the 2nd partial vaccination will be shortened (validity = 6 months/180 days – previously 270 days). For the 3rd partial vaccination, the validity of 9 months (270 days) remains valid until further notice. The validity period of a recovery certificate or a segregation certificate remains 6 months (180 days).

New upload of all TISS-G proofs

When implementing our TISS-G proof, special emphasis was placed on data protection conformity, i.e. after processing selected data from the uploaded certificates, only the calculated validity date is stored in TISS. This circumstance requests, in case of such serious changes in the validity periods, that as of February 1, 2022, all certificates uploaded to TISS must be declared invalid.

Call to action

In order to store the current validity dates in TISS and to be able to display the access authorization again, users must upload their current EU-compliant certificates (digital green certificates) again! For this action, a transition period from January 20 to 31, 2022 is planned. Newly uploaded certificates during the transition period will retain their vailidity beyond February 1.

Review at TUW-Checkin

TU members who previously had their non-EU-compliant vaccination or convalescence certificates or certificates deviating from the standard reviewed at TU Checkin and had their validity entered in TISS must please have this validation processed again and in person at TU Checkin, opens in new window as of January 20, 2022. This procedure is especially applicable to individuals whose vaccination record shows vaccination against COVID-19 with a listed vaccine in the current COVID-19 entry regulation (Appendix C).
