Coronavirus – Update: hygiene measures acute

Adaptation of hygiene measures at the TU Vienna.

TU Main Building with text: Covid19 Info, Update: 17.11.2021

Due to this currently very critical infection dynamic, we are adhering to the following rules at the TU Wien with immediate effect:

  1. FFP2 mask obligation: An FFP2 mask is obligatory in public areas at TU Wien (corridors, courtyards, etc.) and in the lecture hall/teaching room/lab at all times during the course. Teachers may remove the FFP2 mask when lecturing. The seating capacity in lecture halls remains at 50% as before.
  2. QR code scan at the entrances and in lecture halls: As a student or staff member, it is mandatory that you register your presence on campus at the entrances and in the lecture hall or classroom by entering your seat using QR codes! This is the only way to successfully manage TUW contacts and break infection chains.
  3. hygiene: remember to refrain from shaking hands, sneezing/coughing into the crook of your arm or a handkerchief and regularly washing your hands and disinfecting them at the disinfectant dispensers provided.

This is the only way we can jointly prevent having to switch back to distance mode across the board.

General COVID-19 information and rules of conduct for university operations are summarised at https://www.tuwien.at/en/tu-wien/corona.
