Georg Steinhauser is Professor of Applied Radiochemistry at TU Wien. He earned his doctorate in radiochemistry at TU Wien and completed his habilitation in environmental radiochemistry. His international academic career began with a tenure-track position at Colorado State University (2013–2015), followed by a professorship at Leibniz University Hannover (2015–2022) and research stays at Los Alamos National Laboratory (since 2021), Fukushima University (2014), and LMU Munich (2007). In 2022, he accepted a position at TU Wien.

Research interests:

His research focuses on environmental radioactivity of anthropogenic radionuclides and forensic nuclear issues.
