Software and Tools used in Sustain PSE Research

ASPEN stands for advanced system for process engineering software used for process design and simulation. We also utilize GAMS and AIMMS, powerful algebraic modeling system software, for optimization purposes.

When it comes to life cycle assessment (LCA), we employ both an open-source LCA tool Activity Browser for prospective LCA and SimaPro for consequential LCA.

To gather and interpret data effectively, our group relies on various tools like R, MATLAB, and Python. Python, in particular, offers a wide range of open-source packages that help us collect diverse types of data.

Our dedicated team at the sustain PSE research group utilizes this comprehensive set of tools and software to conduct rigorous optimization processes.
