Green Chemistry is a jointly established English-language Master's programme between the TU Wien, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna and the University of Vienna.

Programme contents Green Chemistry

Modern society faces the great challenge of ensuring that a steadily growing population is equally supplied with energy, food, medicines, and everyday necessities without continuing to place an excessive burden on the environment. At the same time, the emission of greenhouse gases must be reduced in order to curb climate change.
The development of new chemical substances and methods can make a major contribution to solving all these complex problems. To do this, however, it is essential to follow the principles of green chemistry while also taking into account the broader consequences of change in their application in order to generate innovations in the interests of sustainable development.

A selection procedure is carried out PRIOR to admission

For the English-language Master's programme Green Chemistry, 50 places will be allocated in the coming academic year. The allocation of places takes place within the framework of a three-stage selection procedure, which all registered applicants who meet the qualitative admission requirements on the basis of their previous education must go through.

Prerequisite for the participation in the selection procedure is the online registration in the TU-own Campus Software TISS. The online registration is carried out once a year before the beginning of the winter semester and is valid for the academic year. It is recommended to start in winter semester.
