Current UNESCO working group meetings on Open Science

The first event of the fifth round of meetings took place last week, others will follow in the upcoming weeks. Registration is still open.

You can easily join one of the five working groups by registering for the event or by sending an email to openscience@unesco.org. The following online meetings are planned for this round of meetings:

UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Capacity Building
Tuesday, 4 April 2024, 2-4 pm.
The meeting will focus on the potential development of a global skills and competencies framework for open science, as included in the Recommendation on Open Science.

UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Monitoring Framework
Wednesday, 17 April 2024, 2-4 pm.
The meeting will focus on a set of draft principles of open science monitoring.

UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Funding and Incentives
Tuesday, 30 April 2024, 2-4 pm.
The group will discuss the desirability and feasibility of a Global Open Science Fund.

UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Policies and Policy Instruments
Wednesday, 15 May 2024, 2-4 pm.
The group will discuss ways to assess the impact of policy and policy instruments pertaining to open science.

UNESCO Working Group on Open Science Infrastructures
Monday, 3 June 2024, 2-4 pm.
The meeting will focus on open science and artificial intelligence.
