Research Group for Aircraft Systems

The Research group for Aircraft Systems was created in 2021 under funding from the Federal Ministry of Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology for an Endowed Professorship at TU Wien.

Prof. Martin Berens was selected as head of the research group and is responsible for steering the unit towards its goals:

  • Increase Austria’s scientific output in aeronautical subjects, with an emphasis in sustainability and achieving climate neutral flight,
  • Establish a co-operational network with industries and research institutes,
  • Build-up a Master’s Program in Aeronautical Engineering at TU Wien,
  • Be an internationally recognized focus point for aviation in Austria.
