Research interests

Our research is focused on the analysis of differential equations from the viewpoint of the theory of dynamical systems. The main topics are geometric approaches to singular perturbation problems and singular limits in differential equations. Such multi-scale-problems, with dynamics on many different time-scales, play a prominent role in many applications, e.g. biology, chemical reaction networks, and gas dynamics. An ongoing project is the development of methods for the analysis of differential equations depending singularly on several parameters. These tools are applied in the analysis of models from cell-biology and the development of tools for the dimension reductions of these models.
