Sage Research Methods – Trial access

In October and November, TU Wien has trial access to case studies, video tutorials, programming courses with large datasets and more from Sage Research Methods.

In October and November 2023, Sage Research Methods, opens an external URL in a new window can be accessed from the TU Wien campus. The platform offers a large variety of case studies of research methods, interactive teaching materials on data analysis as well as video tutorials, podcasts and e-books.

For example, a teaching guide set demonstrates how to generate animated maps from NASA data using the software QGIS. Step-by-step instructions, teaching guides and data sets are gathered in one place ready for use. Similar materials are offered on Python, R and other programming languages to learn about classification trees or basic concepts of numerical and qualitative text analysis - including pre-processed data sets.

Students and staff of TU Wien can access Sage Research Methods, opens an external URL in a new window on campus or from home using VPN, opens in new window (choose the "All tunnelled" option during VPN login).
