„TU Wien Bibliothek cycles” 2023

The library team is participating in the “Wien radelt” (Vienna cycles) campaign and collecting environmentally friendly kilometres by bicycle and on foot.

In our mission statement, TU Wien Bibliothek commits to becoming a green library. Working towards this goal, we continue to set priorities in the area of sustainable mobility in 2023. As this should also be fun, the library is participating again in the “Wien radelt” (Vienna cycles) campaign.

In 2022, the library team saved 1139.60 kg of CO₂during this campaign, with 8 staff members covering a total of 6460.30 kilometres by bike or on foot.

This year, Austria is cycling again from 20 March to 30 September. The library team will collect kilometres together by bike and on foot - during everyday activities, in leisure time, during commutes or in the course of sporting activities. This benefits participants’ health and the environment.
