Welcome to the Institute of Structural Engineering at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of TU Wien!

The Institute of Structural Engineering was established in 2004 by merging the Institute of Steel Construction and the Institute of Reinforced Concrete and Solid Construction. The merger made it possible to bundle the competences for building with steel and concrete at one institute. In a jointly operated laboratory, current research topics in structural engineering are solved using experimental methods.
