Field trip destination Grafenhöfe

This incident occurred in January 2024. The volume of debris amounted to approximately 11,000 m³. In the aftermath of Storm Vaia (2018), the slope had been extensively deforested. The rockfall was triggered by substantial rainfall.
In order to protect the nearby residential building and the local farmer's stable from further rockfalls, a deflection dam and a protective dam were constructed.

Die Exkursionsteilnehmenden stehen auf dem Schotterweg neben einem Damm im Hintergrund grüne Wiesen, Waldhänge und ein Gebäude am Hang.

Ein massiver Schutzdamm aus Naturstein steht am Hang, im Vordergrund ein Bach, dahinter Wiesen und bewaldete Berge.
