From May 29 to June 1, 2025, 10 Master's students visited the picturesque town of Gars am Kamp in Lower Austria together with Petra Hirschler and author Reinhard Tötschinger, opens an external URL in a new window. Through observations, walks and changes of perspective, a total of 40 literary texts and short stories were created to capture the place in its entirety and complexity. The dense spatial description is a tool for analyzing spaces - not quantitatively and cartographically, as is usually the case in regional planning, but qualitatively and creatively.

The course is part of the Master's elective modules 2 (Spatial Planning in Rural and Alpine Areas) and 8 (Digital Analysis and Digitization) and took place in cooperation with the project landuni, opens an external URL in a new window. A publication of the collected texts is in preparation!
