The MOVE.Walks course

As already explained in the last two posts, this summer semester a new MOVE course format has been introduced, the so-called MOVE.Walks. Accompanied by experts from different fields such as politics, planning, administration, etc., the students explore different corners of Vienna and can ask them about their work and urban / mobility planning topics.

MOVE.Walk 3 | mobility hubs in Vienna

The walk started at Wanda-Lanzer-Park, opens an external URL in a new window in Vienna's 4th district. This time, the focus was on the planning and design of mobility stations

The group of students, the MOVE colleagues Martin Berger, Florian Pühringer, Christoph Kirchberger and Aurelia Kammerhofer were accompanied by Stefan Melzer (Managing Director MO.Point) and Leonie Schöch (Wiener Linien - multimodal mobility control, WienMobil stations). We would like to take this opportunity to thank our experts for the valuable insight they provided into the practical side of the topic and for answering our questions in detail!

Further stopovers were made at the WienMobil, opens an external URL in a new window station Mittersteig (bike sharing, car sharing, scooter parking area), the underground car park with shared mobility offers 'Best in Mobility Mittersteig, opens an external URL in a new window'(operated by MO.Point, e-cargo bikes, e-scooters, e-mopeds, e-cars), the Grätzloase, opens an external URL in a new window Flickerei, the WienMobil station Brückengasse and the Westbahnhof(a major public transport hub with lots of shared mobility offers)

The perfect place to finish the tour was the roof terrace of the IKEA at Westbahnhof with a magnificent view of Vienna.

We are already looking forward to the fourth MOVE.Walk!
