The tenure track model at TU Wien enables a continuous academic career from University Assistant (PostDoc) to Associate Professor. The core element of the tenure track model is the so-called qualification agreement. The successful candidate will start as an “Assistant Professor” if a qualification agreement is concluded.The agreed qualification goals (including habilitation) must be regularly documented and reviewed within four years. Once the qualification agreement has been fulfilled, the candidate will be promoted to the position of “Associate Professor” with a permanent contract.

The aim of the position is to conduct independent research and publish in the respective field. Other tasks include teaching, supervising students, and acquiring national and international funding.
