Preserving and strengthening social cohesion is a task for civil society and politics. The "Social City" urban development program provides support here, but it is dependent on complementary funding strategies from other departments, the pooling of resources and overarching action. Community work can also contribute to this. Based on a mix of methods, the final report, opens a file in a new window of the research project "Gemeinwesenarbeit in der sozialen Stadt" shows how community work is structurally anchored in "Social City" neighborhoods and what it can achieve.
