Univ. Prof. Dr. Jürgen Fleig completed his doctoral research in the Department of Physical Solid State Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart and continued his research at this Max Planck Institute after receiving his doctorate (1995) (interrupted by a research stay at MIT, Cambridge, USA, 2002-2003). In 2002, he qualified as a professor in physical chemistry at the University of Ulm. In 2005, he accepted the professorship for “Technical Electrochemistry” at the Vienna University of Technology. Since 2019, he has also been director of the Institute for Chemical Technologies and Analytics.
