ESN Buddynetwork TU Wien
The ESN Buddynetwork TU Wien is a part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the biggest student association in Europe. It‘s a non-profit organization, entirely built up and run by students and the goal is to enable TU Wien‘s exchange students unforgettable times here in Vienna.
Around 300 exchange students come to TU Wien every semester. The members of the ESN Buddynetwork are eager to get in personal contact with every exchange student one directly after their arrival. In those first weeks the members of the ESN Buddynetwork help them getting around on the university and Vienna. They foster the Erasmus community by bringing everyone together and enable the intercultural exchange with local students through the buddysystem.
Parties, culture, day and weekend trips into Austrian’s nature as well as surrounding international cities, skiing trips, casual community events as movie nights and game evenings, dance courses for the great Viennese balls, ... The members of the ESN Buddynetwork organize a huge variety of events and trips available for every exchange student and buddy to join in.
The Buddysystem connects 2 - 5 incoming exchange students with up to two local TU students, called "buddies". The buddies help the exchange students in their first days and with important questions about life and studying in Vienna. All the incoming students are welcome to join the Buddysystem if they want to, but it is not compulsory to participate.
