Within this period he studied the properties of micro-resonators in fluids. During his stay a mathematical model for the estimation of resonance frequency and damping behavior has been developed, which can now be used for future resonator developments. 
Not alone the successful research collaboration between the TU Wien and the University of Melbourne but also the university campus in Melbourne and its appeal to the way how people work and live at the same place, impressed Pfusterschmied greatly. He clearly recommends all students to take the opportunity to go abroad for growing in a professional and personal way as well.
