Laboratory for Hydraulic Fluid Flow Machinery

The laboratory of the research unit fluid flow machinery with a laboratory area of approx. 400m² and a max. obstructable height of 8m offers space for permanently installed test rigs for research and teaching as well as for temporary test rigs within the scope of research projects, cooperations and theses. Tests are carried out on model machines as well as on stationary components, pipelines and shut-off devices.
These test rigs are operated by means of several supply pumps and are integrated into two supply circuits. The connection dimensions of the test rigs are, depending on the supply circuit, max. DN500 PN16 and DN250 PN25. Depending on the pressure stage and the connection of the pumps, a max. flow rate of 650l/s can currently be realized.
