3rd REAL ESTATE AWARD Munich Airport

The REAL ESTATE AWARD - Munich Airport has successfully established a partnership between universities and Munich Airport.

The third edition of the award further intensified this dialogue between the universities and Munich Airport. The aim was to work together to create a forum for developing forward-looking ideas for real challenges and testing their marketability. The area around the Munich Airport Visitors Park was the object of the study for the specific project task of the award.

The project work includes collaboration on the competition for the 3rd REAL ESTATE AWARD, Munich Airport.

The third edition of the award further intensifies this dialogue between the universities and Munich Airport. The aim is to create a forum in which future-oriented ideas for real challenges are developed and their marketability is tested. The site around the visitor park at Munich Airport serves as the object of study for the specific project task of this year's award.

This area is to be strengthened as a regional attraction for the surrounding area and the quality standards for the overall concept of Munich Airport are to be continued. To this end, the participating universities should ideally form interdisciplinary teams of approx. 5 students to work on the task.

The aim of the REAL ESTATE AWARD - Munich Airport is to think, discuss, argue and act in an interdisciplinary and innovative way on the basis of a real project - and ultimately to find practical and realisable solutions. The project philosophy is inherently interdisciplinary, taking into account the interests of different stakeholders.

The urban-aesthetic design should relate to the location (‘genius loci’). Supported by other design elements, including some extraordinary ones (the fascination of flying).
