18th Nonveiller Lecture

On 27 September 2022, Professor Dietmar Adam received the highest award of the Croatian Society for Geotechnical Engineering as "Nonveiller Lecturer" at the Technical University of Zagreb. This makes him the 18th recipient of this prestigious award since its inception and already the second Austrian to receive this honour. The certificate and the Nonveiller Trophy were presented by Dr Leo Matešić, President of the Croatian Geotechnical Society. Dr. Olja Barbir, the first Croatian doctoral student at the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering at TU Wien, who had passed her dissertation with distinction only a few days before, presented her doctoral thesis during the event and was met with great applause.
