Why study Spatial Planning?

The study of spatial planning is characterised by the broad spectrum of matters addressed. Spatial planners deal with the different demands of the economy and society on human settlement areas and natural spaces and the resulting opportunities and conflicts.

The area of mobility and transportation is particularly important for sustainable, future-oriented planning. In the following video, our colleague Jonathan gives a brief insight into the day-to-day work at the research unit Transportation System Planning (MOVE).
