Emilia Bruck

Emilia Bruck researches and teaches at the Research Unit of Local Planning and at the future.lab Research Center, TU Vienna. Her research and publication activities concern the spatial implications of digitization and automation, planning cultures, and the design of transformation processes.

In recent years, she was part of the research team AVENUE21, opens an external URL in a new window, funded by the Daimler and Benz Foundation, and conducted a study on the traffic-land use compatibility and street design impacts of automated mobility in cooperation with the City of Vienna MA-18 as part of the project auto.WAVES, opens an external URL in a new window (funded by the FTI-Innovationsfond of the Wiener Stadtwerke). Most recently, she coordinated the ÖREK partnership, opens an external URL in a new window "Spatial Dimensions of Digitalization" on behalf of ÖROK (Austrian Conference on Spatial Planning), is currently leading an in-depth study on the spatial impact of digitization for the City of Vienna, and is involved in other projects on the issue of digitization in spatial development.
