NanoTens is a novel tensile testing device for investigating viscoelastic material properties of micro and nanofibres. The special feature of NanoTens is that samples can be reversibly coupled to and uncoupled from the force sensor, streamlining both parallelization preparation and testing of samples. NanoTens, allows full distance and for control enabling dynamics mechanical analysis and creep tests. The device design, also allows testing in a hydrated environment, making NanoTens ideal for testing natural and biological fibers such as collagen fibrils.
