The Entrepreneurship Avenue is Europe’s largest student-focused entrepreneurship series, designed to inspire and encourage students to join the startup scene. It is organized by the Entrepreneurship Center Network (ECN) and SIMConnect. The TUW innovation incubation center (i²c) is part of the ECNetwork. It is an early-stage program aiming primarily at students with little or no experience in entrepreneurship. The event series supplies participants with a playground to test and work on their idea in interdisciplinary teams and provides the necessary basis for staying in the startup scene afterward. Through a series of workshops (LABs) you will get the opportunity to present your idea, receive mentoring from experienced start-up experts, and win prizes with your first public pitch! LAB 1 - Idea Presentation April 27, 18:00 (online) You got a business idea and need skillful people on your team to develop it further or want to work on a start-up idea and exercise your valuable skills? Then the Idea Presentation Lab is a great start for you! Send us a 30-second video presenting your idea until April 24, 23:59 CET and during LAB 1 find team members with the necessary skills and a creative attitude to join you. You are also welcome to join if you do NOT have a business idea yet but are keen on getting involved in the start-up ecosystem. Watch the business ideas being displayed during the LAB and if you are interested in joining any of them, don’t hesitate to reach out to your favourite idea’s author (it will be possible in the networking sessions on our platform after the LAB or in the following two days). Furthermore, in LAB 1 our guest speaker, Amir Akta, the founder of Return on Art, will provide valuable insights on tools that are essential to get your business up and running. And we are happy to announce that our partner, WhatAVenture, will introduce their multi-purpose online tool for business planning which can be accessed by all participating teams throughout the whole LAB series. LAB 2 - Mentoring May 11, 18:00 (online) Now that you have formed a skillful and enthusiastic team, it is time to discuss your start-up idea with experienced mentors from the industry! We will connect you with THE experts from the European start-up scene, industry leaders, and successful entrepreneurs who are looking forward to sharing their experience and providing valuable insights. Our experts come from a broad range of backgrounds and industries. Therefore, we will make sure to find your perfect match in accordance with your interests! After the mentoring sessions, you will be provided with input on how to best pitch your idea to investors in order to start preparing for LAB 3. LAB 3 - Pitch Training May 25, 18:00 (online) Perfect your pitch! You know that investors are crucial to start a business, but you are not sure how to convince them to finance your growth? At the Pitch Training LAB, you will be able to improve your pitch with our coaches and learn how to best present your idea to potential investors. Prior to the Pitch Training LAB, you will be asked to prepare a 100-second pitch based on the insights you have received in the previous LAB. The pitch trainer assigned to your team will provide feedback and work with you on the further perfection of the pitch.
