Insurance for exchange students

All students of TU Wien are required to pay the Student Union fee = “ÖH-Versicherung (about € 25.- per semester), which includes accident and liability insurance, opens an external URL in a new window.

Additionally, students have to take care for health insurance on their own:

Students from the EU can use their own insurance card for medical services.
Students from non-EU member states who do not have health insurance may purchase Austrian student health insurance (“Studierendenkrankenversicherung”) for a monthly fee of about € 60.- at (see welcome guide).
