We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Dr. Klemens Wassermann, TU Wien doctoral graduate and co-founder of Cellectric Biosciences. A brilliant scientist and entrepreneur, he was a cherished friend of the TU Wien Doctoral Center and a devoted supporter of young researchers. His kindness, generosity, and inspiring presence will be dearly missed.

Announcement of new DK

Announcement of new DK for biosensors and medical devices

TU Wien will establish a new doctoral college (DK) in the field of “Biosensors and Medical Devices” with a term of for years. Proposals will be accepted until October 31, 2025.

Registration for the 1st International Conference on Engineering for Life Sciences is now open. The conference will take place from June 29 to July 3, 2025 at TU Wien. The Early Bird rate for TUW students (until April 30) is €250.

Her dedication, expertise and kindness enriched our team and will leave a lasting gap. We will remember her as a wonderful colleague and valuable person.

Our deepest sympathies go out to her family, friends, and all those who were close to her.

"Best Paper Award" für das SecInt Doktoratskolleg 2022

We are proud to announce that the members of the : Andrey Kofnov, Marcel Moosbrugger, Ezio Bartocci and Efstathia Bura were awarded with the Best Paper Award (1000 Euro offered by Springer) at the 19th International Conference on Quantitative Evaluation of Systems (QEST 2022) held in Warsaw (Poland) for their paper: "Moment-based Invariants for Probabilistic Loops with Non-polynomial Assignments". CONGRATULATIONS!

Scholarship on climate change & resources

The Vienna University of Technology is awarding a scholarship worth €18,000 for outstanding work in the field of climate change and resources. Students, assistants, or employees involved in an FFG project or similar institution are eligible for funding. This scholarship is made possible by a generous contribution from the TU Wien Foundation to support innovative research and forward-looking projects.

The application deadline is December 15.
