The IEEE WCCI ("world congress on computational intelligence") takes place every two years and includes the following three big conferences :

•    International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2016)
•    IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE 2016)
•    IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE CEC 2016)

The work of Michaela Killian belongs of the FUZZ-IEEE, where she already made a contribution in Peking, China, in 2014.
Her delight was great to be able to visit this thematically valuable conference also in Vancouver in 2016 again and to be able to exchange with international experts.

A few facts to be able to understand the size of this conference:
The IEEE WCCI received 3.015 paper submissions with a total of approx. 2,000 registrations from 70 countries, talks in 4-5 blocks per day with 22 parallel Sessions each including 5-7 presentations.
Besides the informative impressions on the conference, time remained for a suspended vacation to visit Vancouver and to gather impressions of Canada and its "Wild life" like bears and wales in the famous ski resort Whistler Blackcomb.
