Arabella Mühl

Short biography

Arabella Mühl has been working as a project assistant at the Institute for Management Science at TU Wien since October 2025. She completed her doctorate in the field of work and organizational psychology at the University of Vienna. In her dissertation, titled “So much for flexibility: Compulsory work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and employer-mandated schedule changes”, she focused on examining relatedness satisfaction in the context of remote work and the effects of the compressed four-day workweek.
Her research interests primarily revolve around employee well-being in flexible work contexts and the impact of modern work arrangements, such as alternative working time models (e.g., the four-day workweek). Additionally, she explores topics such as psychosocial risks in the workplace and social interactions and relationships in work environments.
In addition to her role at TU Wien, Arabella Mühl is also active as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Vienna.
