Short CV

Shiyang Zhou joined the MIVP research group of TU Wien in 2021. In 2015, he completed his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and automation at Jilin University. Then he worked as a quality engineer at FAW-Volkswagen from 2015 to 2016.

In 2019 he completed his master's degree in mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During his Master's Programme, he successfully completed his master's thesis “A Soft Electromagnetic Motor” at the ETH Zurich. After completing his studies, he worked at Panta Rhei GmbH with a focus on “Artificial Intelligence Supported Process Control and Numerical Simulation of LPBF Process”.

Research Interests

Currently, Mr. Zhou is a project assistant at MIVP. Within the project Rail4Future, Mr. Zhou focuses on the integration of simulation data and machine learning models in the rail industry.
