PhD projects and supervisors
TU-D combines synthesis, characterization, application and simulation of 2D materials and systems. All thirteen projects contribute their experience to different aspects of the research on 2D materials:
- Synthesis: D. Eder, B. Holzer, R. Wilhelm
- Characterization: U. Diebold, A. Foelske, B. Lendl, G. Parkinson
- Simulation: L. Filipovic, F. Libisch, G. Madsen
- Application: T. Grasser, M. Marchetti-Deschmann, T. Müller
You can find a brief summary of all thirteen research groups and the planned projects linked to the names of the project leaders.
Our doctoral college implements joint thesis supervision - each PhD student will be guided by two supervisors with complementary expertise. A thesis advisory committee covering all four fields (synthesis, characterization, application and simulation) supports their thesis. Each research group presents one PhD project contributing to the joint research effort within TU-D.
